About the product

The Syrah No. 2 comes mostly from short- and medium-length macerations (one to two weeks) and is made with 100% whole cluster, natural yeast fermentations and no sulphur additions until well after malolactic. Bottling occurred after 12 months aging in neutral oak.
The result is a spicy, medium-bodied Syrah, closer in weight to many Northern Rhône wines than what we typically expect from Heathcote. It offers loads of spice, energy and drive, and the complex aromas and flavours of dark plum, olive, bay leaf and tobacco.

This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the cool, climate, high altitude vineyards of Orange where the slow ripened grapes are picked at the end of April. It has a palate of dark berries and smooth cedary oak tannins and a bouquet of ripe black currant and mint.

This is a lovely fresh bright Shiraz, true to region and variety. There are bright red and some dark fruits on the nose, a hint of chocolate and a mere whiff of oak. The tannins in the mouth are smooth and overall the wine is fresh, juicy and quite delicious. Try it with a Tuscan pepper stew or Peposo and if you have enough Scarlet Runner, you could use it to make the dish, too!

This Pinot Gris comes from the cool, climate, high altitude vineyards of Orange. On first sip there are massive (and delectable) hits of sweet lychee balanced with the zingy acid of passionfruit. There is a distinct glycerine feel that coats your mouth with the flavours and holds a lengthy, but soft, finish.
